R Trader Pro Plugin – How to Avoid Professional Fees with Concurrent Logins

In its current state and for quite some time, Rithmic has had the ability to login to multiple locations and platforms concurrently for no additional charge. Beginning May 1, 2020, the CME Group is requiring that market data distributors (Rithmic is a market data distributor), report the number of concurrent logins each market data subscriber is permitted to access the CME Group’s market data.

The CME group is also requiring that a market data subscriber that is permitted to maintain more than 2 (3+) concurrent market data logins be reported as a professional market data subscriber. In addition to this and by default, each user will now only be entitled to one session. For every additional session that is added for an individual, they will incur an extra set of market data fees.

Just to clarify this and for example, if a user has a Max Session Count of 2 and is enabled for all 4 CME Group exchanges at $30 per month. You will multiply the $30 market data charge by the Max Session Count of 2 for a total of $60 per month. Market data charges x Max Session Count = Monthly market data charges.

In order to avoid any additional fees and to avoid being charged as a professional market data subscriber, Rithmic has proposed a new change to their platform, R Trader Pro, which would allow this platform to act as a “central hub” for your Rithmic login. The following video will describe these changes and how to use R Trader Pro as a plug in to avoid professional fees and concurrent logins.
