3 Tips For Automating Your Trading: Improve Your Automation

Matt offers up a few tips to improve the process of automating your trading.

Tip #1: Programming – Have another programmer review your code. Even small changes to your code can mean big differences in your trading.

Tip #2: Testing Period – A longer testing period – 3-5 years or at least 1,000 trades – will give you a better idea of how your method fluctuates over time, so you can decide if you are comfortable with the possible drawdowns of the method.

Tip #3: Use the Right Platform – Test your method on different platforms to see where it performs best,
